Earth is the element of stability, groundedness, fertility, materiality, potential, and stillness. Earth can also be an element of beginnings and endings, or death and rebirth, as life comes from the ground and then decomposes back into the earth after death.

The Root Chakra Mūlādhāra, means “root and basis of Existence.” Mula means root and adhara means basis.

Hearts

~Correspond to the element of water, and the Sacral Chakra (Svadishthana)
~Signify love, friendship, happiness, and domestic concerns. Generally speaking, they are “happy” cards.
Water is the element of emotion and the unconscious, as opposed to the conscious sign of air.
The sacral chakra Svādhiṣṭhāna, “where your being is established.” “Swa” means self and “adhishthana” means established. Opening this chakra can boost creativity, manifested desire and confidence.

~correspond to the element of fire, and the Solar Plexus Chakra (Manipura)
~generally signify business, ambition, and achievement issues. They generally indicate success and happiness.
Fire is associated with strength, activity, blood, and life-force. It is also seen as highly purifying and protective, consuming impurities and driving back the darkness.
Manipura translates from Sanskrit as “city of jewels” “resplendent gem” or “lustrous gem”.
Manipura is associated with fire and the power of transformation.

Spades

Spades correspond to the element of air, and the Heart Chakra (Anahata) ~generally signify gossip, challenges, messages, and upsets.
Air is the element of intelligence, creativity, and beginnings. Largely intangible and without permanent form, air is an active, masculine element.
The Heart Chakra, Anahata is associated with balance, calmness, and serenity.
